Looking back on the art I’ve been making for the past few months I’ve done quite a bit of digital work. I started really delving into Procreate when we went on Vacation earlier this year, and I haven’t stopped exploring the possibilities since. While planning for our vacation in late February and early March of his year I opted to take only my camera and iPad. No knitting, no sketch book, no art supplies. This was the first time I’d ever taken only my iPad, with the intent of creating art while on a vacation. I had a plan to limit my supplies and challenge myself to only using procreate. My plan worked, I learned a lot about procreate and I enjoyed to process. The biggest thing I learned was how very freeing being able to sit on the couch or the porch at night with just an iPad and a pencil was. Hello Lovely. Today's card is a spin off the cards on Monday This snowman was so fun to color I couldn't help but make one more.
This little guy was also hand colored. I stamped the snowman from the Art Impressions Warm Wishes set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80 cardstock with the Gina K. Jet Black Amalgam ink, which is Copic friendly. The Copic colors I used are listing below. I used the matching die to cut him out. I die cut a bit of snowflake pattern paper from my scrap stash using the Art Impressions Square Double Stitched dies. I also cut a white panel using my fave the Simon Says Stamp Stitched rectangles die.
To assemble the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes set onto the white panels with my go-to VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I added the pattern paper squares to the top of the upper part of the white panel and centered the snowman in the square. From here I adhered the completed panel to an aqua card base. The finish touches included adding a bit of silver gel pen detail to the button on his coat, red stripes to the candy cane with a red Dylusions paint pen, a bit of Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops to his nose and a few jewels around the sentiment.
