Looking back on the art I’ve been making for the past few months I’ve done quite a bit of digital work. I started really delving into Procreate when we went on Vacation earlier this year, and I haven’t stopped exploring the possibilities since. While planning for our vacation in late February and early March of his year I opted to take only my camera and iPad. No knitting, no sketch book, no art supplies. This was the first time I’d ever taken only my iPad, with the intent of creating art while on a vacation. I had a plan to limit my supplies and challenge myself to only using procreate. My plan worked, I learned a lot about procreate and I enjoyed to process. The biggest thing I learned was how very freeing being able to sit on the couch or the porch at night with just an iPad and a pencil was. There was no figuring out where to put supplies, or how to juggle a sketchbook on my lap, or being confined to the table. The other bonus ...
Hello Lovely. I'm back with a little stitching inspiration for Fall. I'm not ready for Fall, but it's here, whether or not I want it to be. Our leaves have changed and have started to fall and fill the driveway. The morning sun has that Fall golden glow to it and the temps have definitely dropped. This card is inspiration for the changing seasons.
I used the MFT Scalloped Cross-Stitch Tag die to cut the gray tag. I used DMC size 5 thread #4015 and a pattern I found on Pinterest. I cut a second tag to back the completed stitched piece. I added the sentiment "with gratitude" on to the tag using the Ways to Say Thank You from Papertrey Ink stamp set and VersaFine Smoky Gray ink. I added a bow to the tag with vintage seam tape. Of course, I used my favorite Stitched Rectangle die to cut a pale gray panel and then stamped it with a textured background stamp using the same VersaFine ink. I completed the card by mounting the pale gray panel onto a charcoal gray card base, then added the tag.
Thanks for swinging by today. Are you ready for Fall?
