March 2025 Procreate Designs

Looking back on the art I’ve been making for the past few months I’ve done quite a bit of digital work.  I started really delving into Procreate when we went on Vacation earlier this year, and I haven’t stopped exploring the possibilities since.   While planning for our vacation in late February and early March of his year I opted to take only my camera and iPad.  No knitting, no sketch book, no art supplies.  This was the first time I’d ever taken only my iPad, with the intent of creating art while on a vacation.  I had a plan to limit my supplies and challenge myself to only using procreate.  My plan worked, I learned a lot about procreate and I enjoyed to process.   The biggest thing I learned was how very freeing being able to sit on the couch or the porch at night with just an iPad and a pencil was.  There was no figuring out where to put supplies, or how to juggle a sketchbook on my lap, or being confined to the table.  The other bonus ...

Celebrating 40 Handmade Card Giveaway

Let's Celebrate!  Today's my 40th Birthday and I'm celebrating with a Handmade Card Giveaway.  Who doesn't love a giveaway?  But first...a little backstory.

Turning 40 feels like kind of a big deal to me.  I really can't explain it.  Maybe it's because I've never really liked my birthday, that's a story for another day on a different blog.  Maybe it's because it's taken me this long to really get comfortable and love my life.  Maybe it's because I'm finally saying things out loud about being a creative and an artist.  I really can't put my finger on it, but it feels very important to me.

The other part of the story is my goal for 2018 - I've vowed to send more cards this year.  In doing that I got to thinking about doing my part to make it contagious.  What better way to combine the two - a giveaway of my handmade cards to celebrate my turning 40, it's the perfect storm.

There are 25 cards in all, including Thank Yous, Birthdays, Hellos, Thinking of Yous, General and a few Christmas.  I'm also throwing in a bonus postcard.  These are all the cards you'll find in your package if you're the chosen winner.

This giveaway is open to US residents only.  It's easy to enter, just leave a comment below and tell me what you would do with 25 cards and a postcard.  I'll draw the winner on Monday, January 15th.  Good luck!
